Understanding advertised "up to" compensation
Why the biggest number in an ad is rarely the number most surrogates receive.
Advertised maximums usually add every possible conditional amount together — as if every situation happened in one journey. That is not a realistic expectation.
A fairer comparison is the estimated standard package: base compensation plus the benefits most surrogates actually receive.
Ask when a figure was last confirmed. Compensation schedules change, and a number that was accurate last year may not be current.
