BMI and agency requirements
Why agencies ask about height and weight, and what a BMI limit does and doesn't mean.
Agencies and fertility clinics often set a BMI range for embryo transfer, because BMI is one of several factors clinics use in pregnancy-risk protocols.
Limits vary widely between programs. A profile that is outside one agency's range can still be inside another's.
We calculate BMI from the height and weight you enter so we can show which participating agencies currently list a range that fits. It is not a health assessment.
If BMI is the only reason we can't show a match today, you can update your information any time and we'll check current agency requirements again.
